Or, just spend independent reading time together!

If I am using letter tiles in both reading and spelling, then I typically don’t do them back-to-back - just to separate the repetition. No matter the reason, you don’t need to worry or feel guilty about it. Review the times when an adult will be available to help them and when they will need to be on their own. You will learn through trial and error which things need to be stored out of reach until you can help with them. Although many families never go back after trying to homeschool, others want or feel the need to return to school.
